“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” – John Steinbeck
In the land of illusions that is Hollywood, I find Summer tends to linger a little longer then the rest of the world. Maybe it is the fact the one can still attend pool parties swarming with the cities glitterati at the end of September. Perhaps it is the fact that the hipsters who patrol Melrose avenue have yet to shift from their summer uniforms of denim shorts and short sleeve button down shirts to their fall outfits of skinny jeans & baggy sweaters. In celebration of these lingering days of Summer, we here at Black Chalk took to LA’s iconic Melrose Avenue for one last glorious shoot in partnership with photographer Chiara Salomini and stylist Edward Garcia.
