In this edition of Black Chalk Fashion, we decided to create special ‘Fashion Gives Back’ episode focused on the amazing work done by Povertees. Povertees is a caused based fashion company similar in nature to Toms Shoes. Povertees is dedicated to helping women transitioning out of homeless by providing them with a secure work place. Everything at Povertees from customer service to clothing manufacturing is done by the women. It was launched in 2007, by college freshmen trying to find the funds to arrange provisions for the homeless of LA’s Skid Row.
